4th & 5th Class 2014-2015

5th Class School Tour

Our school tour was to the Marble Arch Caves and the Lakeland Forum in Enniskillen. Firstly we went to the Marble Arch Caves. We got a tour of the caves. It was really fun!  We learned about all the different rock formations and the structures of the caves.

We had for our lunch outside the Caves and then we boarded the bus again and headed to the Lakeland Forum. We enjoyed the playground outside before we went into the play area Ely Alley and finally we went swimming! It was really fun too. We had chips and played for a while in the playground outside before we headed for home!

4th Class School Tour

This year 3rd and 4th class went on an amazing school tour to Arena 7 and Tropical World in Letterkenny.

We went bowling and had great fun. We went to Wayne’s World after we went bowling, then we got food.

After that we went to Tropical World. We saw butterflies and lots of other animals. We went to the gift shop in Tropical World. We got ice cream and finally we went to the playground in Tropical World in Letterkenny.

We all had a really great day!

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Aogán Ó Fearghail visited us on May 20th. He told us about the Feile na nGael event. He also presented our class with the Cornmarket Cumann na mBunscol award for 2nd place in School of the Year!

Dragon Construction!

Having read In Deep Dark Wood we made our very own dragons using all sorts of materials! We hope you like our great range of dragons!

Art for Mother’s Day

Grandparents’ Day

As part of our celebration on Grandparents’ Day some of our class interviewed their grandparents on stage. Their grandparents told us about what school was like for them, what games they played and how life has changed over the years since they were children. It was very interesting listening to them!

Christmas in 4th & 5th Class

Here are some pictures of the Christmas logs we made in Art!

As a class we did Secret Santa! We had great fun choosing presents after we picked a name from the class. We all received and opened our presents together and then tried to guess who had bought for us!

November Prayers

Wainfest Children’s Festival is Donegal County Council’s Cultural Services Arts and Book Festival for Children. It provides the opportunity to meet real authors, storytellers and other creative artists.

This year we had the wonderful opportunity to meet the renowned storyteller, Joe Brennan in Ballyshannon Library. He certainly did “enthral, delight and amuse” us as he shared stories with us. We also got the chance to ask lots of questions! Thank you Joe!
