Something Fishy
Something Fishy is an Educational Programme which informs and educates students on fish, water, angling, and the environment and angling. Dara and Michael came into 4th & 5th Class to talk to us. We also got to look at samples of water and to hold a salmon.
St Brigid’s Day
To celebrate St Brigid’s Day we gathered rushes and made St Brigid’s crosses. We enjoyed learning how to make them and after a little practice we improved greatly! We brought our crosses to our parish Mass to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and Fr O Fearrai blessed them.
Science Experiment
Basketball with Borja
We’ve been learning the skills of basketball with our coach Borja. We’ve also really enjoyed taking part in the lunchtime basketball leagues!
Christmas Crafts
BizWorld Workshop
BizWorld Ireland is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes entrepreneurship skills for young people. They deliver workshops in primary schools nationwide, where pupils learn about money management and enterprise in fun and creative ways. 5th Class took part in this workshop and thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience!
Allingham Arts Festival
We enjoyed participating in the local Allingham Arts Festival. This annual event is in tribute to our local poet William Allingham and schools all over the county take part. We took part in the art, short story and poetry competitions and we were all delighted to have 4 prizewinners from our class! Well done to all!
