Creevy National School is situated in a beautiful part of Donegal and we can hear the sea from our front door. We are halfway between the historic town of Ballyshannon and the world renowned surfing beach at Rossnowlagh. We are lucky to have many attractions on our doorstep.
Rossnowlagh is a beautiful, blue flag beach that is popular with families from the school. Children from the school take part in a beach clean up every June and many of the children take surfing lessons provided by the Surf Club.
Rossnowlagh Beach is overlooked by the Franciscan Friary, ‘a place of hospitality and welcome for all who seek peace and reconciliation’.
Creevy Pier is an important part of the local community. Locals fish from there
and it is a very popular spot with all the children in our school. They spend many happy Summer days there, swimming and investigating the rockpools.
Even though we are in a rural location we are lucky to have access to many top class facilities in Ballyshannon.
