County Football Finals – 2nd June 2016
Camogie training at Creevy NS
Creevy N.S. playing in the County Hurling Final against Tooban – 11th Nov 2014
Creevy NS represented at the INTO/RESPECT Exhibition GoGames in Croke Park On the 10 August 2014 Senan took part in the INTO/RESPECT Exhibition GoGames during the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-Final between Kilkenny and Limerick. Senan was only one of 3 boys chosen to represent Donegal which highlights his great ability. It was a great honour for our school to have a pupil playing in Croke Park. It was a most enjoyable day which started with a gathering of all the children taking part, their families and their teachers. INTO President Seán McMahon spoke to all the children individually and when speaking to Ms Magee who represented Creevy NS on the day he acknowledged the dedicated effort of all those who encourage the promotion of Gaelic Games in our national schools. We are fortunate to have great support from the local Aodh Ruadh club in assisting with the promotion of Gaelic Games in our school and for this we are most grateful. Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Liam Ó Néill, Chairperson of Cumann na mBunscol as well as the President of the Camogie Association were also in attendance. It was indeed also a great honour for Aodh Ruadh and a tribute to the tremendous effort put in by those in the club who work tirelessly to develop hurling at under-age level. It was an added interest for the children who enjoyed their annual trip to Croke Park for the semi-final to have the opportunity to watch one of their own players taking part. Senan was chosen to play in the Kilkenny colours and so he was on the winning side for the day! As you can see from the photographs (most of them taken by the official Sportsfile photographers) Senan played a very significant part for his team which was made up of some of the most talented players from schools in counties Kilkenny, Laois, Monaghan, Offaly, Armagh, Down, Dublin and Galway. We could well have been watching some of the future stars who will grace the field in Croke Park in the years ahead! Well done Senan on this great achievement!
The Creevy NS hurling team competed in Roinn 2 County final against Tooban NS on Thursday 12th June 2014.
